In my case, commercial photography translated to people photography. Although I did work on some object photography over the years, most of my commercial efforts were directed towards people.
This meant weddings, portraits of all kinds, and special event photography. I was, and still am, good at this kind of work. Early in my career, I was good, but thought it was beneath my talents.
As I matured, I realized that it was very special work and loved doing it. In so many ways, I think I was a better people photographer than nature photographer.
